Passenger Transport Unit Operations:

Grass Routes (Community Transport)
We currently have staff risk assessing our transport routes  in order to make an informed decision as to what will otherwise be operating in part or remain terminated.  Updates will continue to follow on any limitations to our services.
Roads and Accessibility
During severe weather roads can quickly become hazardous, blocked and inaccessible. We co-ordinate the clearing of roads and try to keep the main roads open. (Motorways (M4, M48) and trunk roads are owned by the Welsh Assembly Government and are maintained by SWTRA (South Wales Trunk Road Agency). Minor and residential roads may remain difficult to negotiate so drive with care.

Police advice will be broadcast on local radio – if you are advised to leave your car at home then please do so. If you are stuck in the snow remain with your vehicle for as long as it is safe to do so. If you have to abandon your car inform the Police of its location.
