Yesterday on Twitter we mentioned how people were going the extra mile to keep Monmouthshire going during this very snowy January. We thought we’d share this story from Monmouth.
Monmouth Comprehensive School opened yesterday for students sitting their A Level exams. Students taking examinations yesterday had only that opportunity otherwise they would have to sit the papers in the summer along with all their other papers.
The fabulous staff at the school knew that snow was on its way and had put in all the preparations to make sure students could sit their exams.
And to welcome students and staff – school caterers battled through the snow to have hot drinks and bacon rolls ready to warm them all up.
To the students who did their exams yesterday – well done! Have fun in the snow today.
